Lord of the Flies!

11 boys between the ages of 5 & 2=Madness!
We had a BBQ with some friends last night and by the end of the night the kids were playing "FIGHT", that is what Carter called it. As the moms were sitting at the kitchen table we look out back and all the boys have some sort of "weapon" and are chasing each other. Amazingly this game went on for hours without major injury or tears! I am sure our neighbors where laughing as they heard:
"Be careful, don't hit too hard!" or "No tackling on the rocks!" or "No hitting on the head!"

I LoVe the faces in these pictures...by this point our yard had turned into a mud slip n' slide, which I guess made the game even better!
Seriously!?
"The Warrior"
Growing up in a family of all girls I have never seen anything quite like this, but Kody says, "This is just what boys do!" Really,  I am not really sure how I feel about that!

In the Books...

Carter had his last day of Preschool on Thursday! It was a sad day for both of us! He LOVED school and was mad when I told him he had to wait a long time before returning. He went in a Steve Nash shirt  and shorts, at least these were a little up dated though.....
Plus he had his SWEET new backpack grandma made for him!

Bonus Pictures...

At the last game one of the moms was brave enough to go an the field and take pictures of the kids. I am grateful that she risked getting hit with balls since she was able to capture some great shots!
Getting ready to hit the ball.  The last few games they were able to play coach pitch, it was great!
Focus!
Carter will hate this picture when he is older since he is totally striking out, but I love his little face.  Ummm, I think you are supposed to keep your eyes open too when you hit, right?!
I am so proud of him though, he was one of the youngest on the team and defiantly held his own! I can proudly say there was no punching other kids and very little tackling. My little man is growing up, hopefully!

Wedding Bells

One of my longest and best friends got married last weekend! Jayleen is a total catch and I am so happy for her. My mom and sisters were able to all meet in Salt Lake for the wedding.  Plus a trip without kids.....even better!

Fell great being KID-LESS!
My family minus Rachel, Plus Molly!
Sisters...we missed you Rach!
Ahhh, the Princess!
Here are my "Extra Sisters".  It was so nice to get out of the heat and enjoys a little adult time!
Thank you Nana & Papa for watching my 2 wild children! You're the best!

PLAY BALL!

It's 100 degrees here in Phoenix and that means one thing...BASEBALL SEASON is HERE! We finally took Carter last week and he could not have been more pumped! As soon as he walks into the stadium he acts like he owns the joint!
Kit Kat pumped for her first game...couldn't flip the picture?
Waiting in line for the Jr. Field....Carter's favorite thing!
Here the DBacks guy "showing" Carter how to play.  He had no idea who he was dealing with.
After Carter hit the first pitch all the way to the wall the Dbacks guy said, "OKAY THEN!" Notice the guys in the back pretty impressed with Carter too!

Carter with one of his favorite players.  Stephen Drew & Eric Brynes is a close 2 & 3! Sometimes he only answers to those names.
Watching the game, finally!
Lately Carter has turned SILLY.  It is almost impossible to get a normal smile from him...goofball!
As Carter was flipping through the program he saw this picture.  He turned to me and said, "Mom this is a nasty drink right?! Heavenly Father does not want us to drink this!"
It was all I could do not to laugh, Thank You FHE Lessons and Sunbeams.  Now hopefully he will remember that when he is a teenager!
Go DBACKS!

Perfect 10

I am pretty sure Kate as officially achieved the Perfect 10 Body....

Wouldn't it be great to be this have this many rolls and still be so cute when we got old!

Happy Mother's Day!

I love Mother's Day, it has turned into one of my favorite days and it gets better as Carter gets older.  This year he as able to help pick out a gift which he had plenty of opinion on....
Some of my favorite "Carter-isms" for Mother's Day:

*He was SURE I wanted and ORANGE long sleeve sweater since it was like the Phoenix Suns.
(Kody eventually talked him into a green short sleeve shirt for the Celtics instead since it is 100 degrees here. The sales helper thought it was GREAT!)
*I had to have PINK flowers because girls like pink!
*He got M&Ms from church to give to me BUT he said,
"Mom I will give these to you ONLY IF you share with me!"
*They passed out roses to all the mother's at church and Carter said,
"Hey mom it is just like the Trojans football game."
(The Rose Bowl for College football is always played at USC home of the Trojans! Really?!)

He also filled out a survey about me, I loved his little answers:
All About my Mom: According to Carter

Favorite Dessert: Mac n' Cheese
Favorite Vacation: The Grocery Store
My mom loves to: Wash Things
When  I go to school my mom: Goes to the Phoenix Suns Games

1 Season Down...

Carter's first baseball season is in the books.  I have a feeling there will be MANY more because he LOVED it! The first few games the kids used a T, but the last few they have been doing coach pitch, which has been great! The kids have all be really good! Carter is one of the youngest on the team since it is 3 to Pre-K, but he has managed to hold his own.
No T! Nice hit buddy!
Waiting on base...
Being a little cheesy....

Out-fielding with Dad.....
Kody said that fielding is the funniest thing with Carter because he comments on all the kids that come up to bat.  Some of the classic lines:
"Dad, that guy is TINY! He must not eat his food!"
"Ah man, that guy can't hit it all the way to me!"
"Dad I can hit it far like Babe Ruth right!?"
Now we have to move to an indoor sport since it is already 90+ here! Yikes!
