Just Like Dad...

Carter decided that on Sunday Kody and him should match. It was quite the site...Carter kept telling Kody what worked and what did not. This is was as good as it got! Pretty Cute!
Not only was Sunday Mother's Day but it was Kate's first day of Nursery! Happy Mother's Day to me! I ment to get a picture of her in her dress but forgot! She loved it and made it the whole time! Although Sunday School and RS seemed a little less entertaining: no Kit Kat trying to the play the piano or licking the teachers shoes. No Kate stealing candy out of everyone's purse and no Kate climbing on top of walkers scream TA-DA!
It seems as though all the ladies want her back....I don't think that is going to happen!

Big Girl....

I can't believe my baby girl is 1 1/2 years old already! I feel really old when I say this but, I can't believe how fast it has gone, I swear it was just yesterday she as born.
Here are her 18 month stats:
Weight: 24.8lbs ~30%
Height: 34 1/2 in. ~95%
Head 47~30%
Hair~It is a combo between a she-mullet and a wig with little curls
(Plus it always looks like a mess because she pulls everything out!)
New Tricks
*She can repeat almost every word you say now, says something new every day! Love it!
*Can climb on EVERYTHING: Chairs, tables, beds, has even learned to pull out the stools to climb on top on the counter...nothing is safe anymore
*Knows exactly what she wants and will cry/pout/scream/plead/bat her eyes until she gets it!
*Throws AMAZING temper tantrums..the ones where she falls to the floor and flips on her back and kicks and screams...Awesome!
*Can throw a ball/item FAR!
*Loves to play/beat her brother...wierd that she is a little fierce..wonder where he got that!?
*Loves to be the center of attention. Loves everyone! She is so happy and will go up to anyone
*Loves to read books
*Knows almost all her animal sounds
*LOVES shoes and can match them too
*Is a total Mommy's girl
*Wants to do EVERYTHING all by herself...that includes feeding herself now!
*Is a HUGE tease...I have never seen a little kid that knows how to tease so well...we are in serious trouble!

She is getting SO smart, she watches and picks up everything, it is so fun! Kate is so happy and so good. She can melt anyone just by looking at them! She is such a blessing in our family!
We love you Kit Kat!
Hemangioma Update:
Kate's Hemangioma is looking much better and as of last month she is off ALL medication. I think it might have gotten a little more pink but it is so nice to have her off everything. The Doctors are now just going to watch it. They said that by the time she is 5 it should be completely gone and if there are any little pink flecks left they will laser them off the winter before she goes to Kindergarten. They have been SO happy with how her skin has turned out! So hopefully every day it will just continue to get lighter and lighter.

This is How it STARTS!

This is how it starts...I am going to look back one day and see this is where is started to go bad! My pretty, little, girl dressed in her brothers "SWEET" baseball shirt!
Kate and Carter were playing up in his room I was busy stripping sheets and came in and found Kate in THIS!.....
Carter said she wanted to look like a DBacks Player too....
Here Carter is showing Kate an old DBacks ticket.
Telling her how special it is....
He even let Kate hold it....
Next thing you know Kate SHOVES it in her MOUTH!
So proud of herself...

Carter managed to get the ticket back and said, "Kate is too little for tickets, she's such a BABY!" He could not understand why Kate did not have the respect or reverence that he has for anything and everything DBACKS!
He quickly went from baseball to basketball...notice the baseball shirt is off...you can not shoot hoops in a baseball shirt!
It turned into one of those days that the laundry did not get done, the sheets did not get put back on the beds, the house was a mess but the kids had a great day! Sometimes it is hard to let things go, knowing that it is going to be double the mess tomorrow, but sometimes I just need to enjoy that my kids want me to play with them right now....
I know it will be all too soon they won't want me to shoot hoops with them!

Game Ball!

It was long anticipated....but yes BIG MAN got the game ball! After the a few of the first games there were tears about not getting it, but tonight was his night! He hit a double and 2 singles and scored all 3 innings! He was awesome!
Of course sometimes in the field he thinks he needs to tackle the kids running from base to base or his own teammate for the ball. Sometimes he feels like he should play up closer instead of the outfield since there is not much action out there....and sometimes Coach Ron has to put Carter in his place....
Coach Ron walking over...
Coach Ron holding onto Carter's hood so that he would stay in his position...
Coach Ron laughing when Carter gave him a 5 minute explanation about why it makes sense to tackle the kids running from 1st to 2nd...
Carter is lucky enough to always have the biggest fan club too! He even had Grandma visiting!
The kids were all gathering around to see who was going to get the ball....
YES...Carter was so excited he even slept with it that night!
With only 1 more game Carter is asking what he is playing next....something INDOORS I think!

It's COMING!

It is starting to heat up....it has been perfect the past few weeks, but it is hard to enjoy because we know what is right around the corner. The pools are still a little cold, but it is great weather for Slip-n-Slides! Carter and Kate were so excited to get their suits on and play in the sun!
Carter loves his friend Caden...I think he would choose to live over there if he could...they have LOTS of fun toys!
The 3 man Slip-N-Slide...Caden showing them how it is done!
After a few trips down..they all seemed to have it down!
Kate just liked to watch and cheer and run around like a wild woman!
Kate LOVES Gizmo! I don't think the feeling is mutual though!
Poor Kit Kat has a horrible rash so we were trying to "air out" a little!
She seemed to love the freedom!
Thank you Ricks Family for all the fun and playtime! You guys are the best!

SMELLY JELLYS!!!

Kate LOVES shoes....she likes to wear them all the time, BUT Kate has STINKY feet! Poor girl got her Uncle Ty's Foot odor issue! These shoes are officially called the SMELLY JELLYS!

Marley Farms..

The other afternoon we headed out to Marley Farms....it was great! We have to suck up all the nice weather while it lasts. Between the 5 of us moms that went there were 10 1/2 boys and 3 girls all 5 and under...we were quite the group!
Carter LOVED to goats, that is until he started chasing them and then got a little ram in the side from one...still smiling though!
Kate was not so sure...all of them were eye level or taller.

Kate's classic Pug Face! Not so attractive but I can't help posting it!
Yes we are still knee deep in the "silly" stage! Ethan and Carter have this NOT so "special" baby language talk they call BEACHAS?!
Carter and the Coomb Bros...
Brushing the Llama's booty? Gross. He was to nervous to go in front of it!
Here is the ZONKEY! Yes, it is a breed between a zebra and a donkey!
It was pretty crazy and a little aggressive.
We were able to feed a lot of the animals from the Zonkey to the cows tot he horses to the little ponies. Carter's favorite!
Kit Kat and London doing their favorite thing...SNACKING!
Some of the crew...
It is amazing how kids can make an old play structure into a magic Star Wars Ship....Love the imaginations!

Notice Little Gracie is driving.....girls definitely are better drivers even from a young age!
Carter learned his car roof top riding from his AUNT RACH!
